Greens Deserve a Space at Mesa Farmers Market

Recently, I found myself needing some clarity on the City of Mesa's policy with regard to use of public areas. In particular, I was confused by the definitions of "public" area v. "private" area v. "government" area. I wanted to know what kind of access to public spaces is available to political groups in Mesa. So I wrote the City attorney, Deborah Spinner, about this issue.

Mesa Greens Seeking Candidates for 2010 and Beyond

The Greens are a grassroots political party.  This means that we are committed to both activist and electoral politics.  Mesa Greens are always looking for interested and qualified people to run for local offices including Mesa City Council and Mesa School Board in the next election cycle.  We are planning early and thoroughly to ensure success.  This is an opportunity to get involved in your local Green Party and find out more about what you can do to help and how to get an endorsement and support for your campaign.

Mesa Greens Discussion Group Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Please join us to discuss current events, including the environment, social justice, non-violence, and how we can take back the commons.  We meet twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays at 7pm at Borders in Mesa.  The store is located on Holmes just east of Alma School and south of Southern.

Discussion Group Cancelled November 4th, 2008
The Mesa Greens Discussion group will not meet as originally scheduled on November 4th due to the elections.  We will resume our discussions  on Tuesday, November 18th, as usual.
