In an act that reeks of desperation, the mega retailer has been holding "mandatory" meetings for thousands of store managers and department heads, scaring their employees by stressing the "downsides" of unionization.

  Walmart seems to be back to its usual old anti-union, anti-employee, anti-family games .

The Greens are a grassroots political party.  This means that we are committed to both activist and electoral politics.  At this time, the Mesa Greens are looking for interested and qualified people to run for local offices including Mesa City Council and Mesa School Board in the next election cycle.  We are planning early and thoroughly to ensure success.  This is an opportunity to get involved in your local Green Party and find out more about what you can do to help and how to get an endorsement and support for your campaign.

Please join us to discuss current events, including the environment, social justice, non-violence, and how we can take back the commons.  We meet twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays at 7pm at Borders in Mesa.  The store is located at the southeast corner of Alma School and Southern.

Since a car accident in late June, this Mesa Greens leader has re-discovered an old passion of his while helping to reduce his carbon footprint  He also discovers the real-life horrors of cycling in the automobile-oriented sprawl of Mesa.
